BackSwing ’26 – A Fresh Course & An Unforgettable Day!

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, CMCC’s 22nd annual BackSwing Golf Tournament took place at the beautiful Richmond Hill Golf Club for a day of golf, connection, friendly competition, and celebration.

It was an absolutely beautiful fall golf day. While the morning started with a bit of a chill in the air, once the sun came out, the weather was nothing short of perfect – making for ideal conditions as golfers took to the course.

Richmond Hill Golf Club gave us something new: our own private, full-service clubhouse, complete with a bar, restaurant, 19th Hole Lounge, patio, and Pro Shop. It created the perfect backdrop for a day on the course and an evening of celebration.

The day was filled with great swings, friendly competition, delicious food, prizes, contests, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow chiropractors, alumni, students, sponsors, and friends of CMCC. And this year, BackSwing became even more inclusive, welcoming non-golfers to join us for the dinner experience.

Highlights from the Day

Chiropractic Clinic Outreach: The day began with CMCC’s Chiropractic Clinic Outreach, giving golfers an opportunity to connect with the next generation of chiropractors before heading out onto the course.
A 9:00 a.m. shotgun start: Golfers warmed up on the driving range before making their way to their carts and hitting the course for a day of friendly competition.
Swag-filled golf carts: Golf carts were stocked with tees, balls, snacks, drinks, sponsor goodies, raffle tickets, and more.
On-course BBQ lunch: Golfers enjoyed a BBQ lunch while making their way around the course, keeping everyone fueled for the afternoon.
Contests, prizes and giveaways: From Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin, to the fan-favourite Putting Contest and Beat the Dr. Kim challenge, players had dozens of chances to win amazing prizes!
Cocktail reception: After a day on the course, golfers and guests gathered for a cocktail reception featuring delicious appetizers and an opportunity to relax and reconnect.
Dinner & Awards Celebration: The evening wrapped up with a gourmet dinner buffet, awards, prizes, and plenty of laughs as we celebrated another successful BackSwing.

Why We Swing

Since 2005, BackSwing has raised over $1.5 million in support of CMCC’s mission to lead and advance world-class chiropractic and related healthcare education, research, and patient care. This year, thanks to our golfers, sponsors, donors, and auction supporters, BackSwing continued to build on that incredible legacy.

While we don't have our final 2026 fundraising total just yet, the BackSwing fundraising journey isn't over!

Our BackSwing ’26 Online Auction, powered by ELITE Chiropractic Tables, will take place throughout the month of October, giving supporters another opportunity to bid on incredible items while helping support CMCC. The auction will contribute to our overall BackSwing fundraising total, with the final amount to be announced once the auction has wrapped up.
